bless the folks in the path of Katrina. I am glued to the T.V. and my heart goes out to all that are in the path. I have partied on Bourbon street and the thought that 20+ feet of water and winds at F3-F4 Tornado strength hitting the area makes me pause and hope all are ok. We are witnessing history here and the impact to all over the world will be felt. Good luck and God speed. :(

I wonder what it is about human nature which makes it take drama before we even express superficial concerns about our fellows? We don't take issue at all with tens of thousands of our citizens dying each year from a whole list of preventable causes, if they die without drama. But show us a major storm, an airplane crash, or yes, a terrorist attack, and suddenly we came across as a nation of people who actually give a damn.

I think you don't have to be religious to have a God. I won't go through this argument, I would just extend my prayers for everyone's safety.
