We just moved our offices to a new facility, hence my office looks a bit sparse and messy.

Thank you for the compliment. The building is new, and we noticed that whoever did the troweling work did a magnificent job, the floors were as smooth as glass practically. We removed the curing sealer that is commonly put on concrete after it is poured with citris based industrial cleaners. This took days and days of work with an industrial floor scrubber, scrapers, etc. Once all the curing sealer and other dirt / contaminents were removed, we lightly etched the concrete with a 6:1 ratio of water and muratic acid. We then sprayed 3 coats of PPG Aquapon 60% solids clear epoxy, 60 gallons total. Total cost, including equipment, about $1.35 per square foot for 5200 sq. ft. We received bids from contractors in the $30,000 range.

The whole process was a royal pain, but we are very pleased with the results.

Thanks again. I'm preparing to build several concrete counter tops for various areas around the office. I'll pass along some pictures when I'm done.

For some ideas, check out www.concreteexchange.com, Fu-Tung Cheng is quite the concrete guru.
