does google LIKE windows?

any seo dabblers with data or light to shine on the question, please...

what i mean is: have you observed any DIFFERENCE IN pr TREATMENT by google to sites / pages, owing to the server platforms?

I havent noticed, nor have i really looked at it as an option for improvements.

Its obviously possible that it is a variable though i dont see them penalizing or picking favorites based on a factor as irrelavant to the equation as what type of OS the server is run off.

Ill keep an eye open but it will take time to see if its any factor. One test or example would far from confirm anything.

oh, and to offer preemptively to the likely question: "how could google even tell? -- the answer i would expect, if there IS a difference in treatment, is -- data structure -- :)

is the bot is even capable of doing a "server check", as a matter of course -- ? -- that i don't know and is beyond my expertise. for a browser check, the bot needs only normal client authorities -- but to ping the server back -- hmmm -- how could that work?
