I can't really give an answer, most domain people would pay 1-3 years revenue for it, so let's say you redirect it to a big tits site: you have the 500 uniques daily and f.e a 1:350 ratio, then with that setup you'd make ~ 42 sales per month x $35 per sale that would be like $1500 per month, now you have to multiply it by either 12 or 24 or 36 months for that matter - dependent who buys it :-)

For some people domains are worth only for traffic, others, like program owners may pay more when a domain has also branding potential.


and obviously, you might get 1:350 ratio with sponsor A, but 1:200 with sponsor B, and 1:600 with sponsor C, you'd also make more with a langing page than with a simple redirection, or you can use just a parking service and all this reflects your income, so one person might make $1500 with it, someone else may make more

Good Insite, and I do think the name is brandable for the niche its in. Its a good dotcom so there would be no loss of type in traffic etc. So pretty much I should redirect the url to a specific niche and take what sales I get. ok sounds good, Thanks.

You would have to look at the raw logs or a good stats program (but even then its not foolproof) to see real typeins

I dont know why anyone looks that much at typeins these days as the old ways that typeins used to produce traffic dont work with the newest patches to IE - unless the person actually types in bothwords together and the .com or whatever - assuming using the browser bar
Of course if they do it in the SE boxes youll get some percentage if youre close to the top of the SE results for a typein
