use irc regularly for pirated music and various other things..

No webmaster stuff? we used to hang in webmaster chats all the time...

I only use mIRC for Ynotradio chat, though I used to host chats on mIRC for Talkcity, it was quite a nostalgic moment when I recently redownloaded it again. The software really hasn't changed that much in the last 8 years!

many of those channels are still active, some are there and only active during a scheduled chat. I need to update that page and get the details finished up. The site never really caught on, but with a little work it will.

If I remember right netpond had a chatroom, flying crocodile rings a bell, perlcoders or whatever nuculi (spelling) had, and a few others.

Torrents have more or less made irc extinct. Well, for me atleast.

I still use IRC everyday. although, MIRC is a good way to get your box hacked from what I hear. I just use Trillian.

I remember that one of the first things I did when I got internet was finding mIRC already installed on my PC (for some reason) and getting on Dalnet.
I wasted lots of hours on there...

The good Ole days!!! I miss it! I could probably plugin some old 1 GB hard drives and find all the scripts I wrote. Those where the days where I was up all night and slept all day, in highschool. :thumbsup Hanging +aop in #appzNgamez & #warez4free on DALnet.. I'm not sure the statue of limitations are up for the piracy I was once a part of.. lol

I started on irc back in 96-97, was on dalnet, relicnet and then finally efnet. I've had oper status on a few networks, been ddosed more times than I can remember, ran with alot of groups on efnet-had botnets, channels. Its funny because I see a couple guys from the old efnet scene on gfy.

Ohh you musta have came after my time, I was in that channel since it started and then I had the channel pass and everything but I had a falling out with the owner. :thumbsup
