Saw one guy on CNN earlier that was flying so fast that if he hit something hidden by the water he would be in rough shape...

Doc911 08-26-2005 08:07 AM

great pictures. to bad for the boat owners

Lensman 08-26-2005 08:10 AM

No one took this storm seriously. Sad to see that much damage when it could have been easily avoided.

I live in Tampa and once again, we dodged another bullet. Last year Tampa ws the Sugar Ray of Florida Cities. Bobb'n and Weav'n all the storms. One hit us but didn't do much damage at all compared to the other cities.

pawsregd 08-26-2005 08:10 AM

Crazy shit!

LauraLee 08-26-2005 08:14 AM

still can't believe that shit turned in and hit so much further south then they predicted. there is debree/trees/crap everywhere, and i am in fort laud. pipecrew, you are miami and got it much worse, do you have power? i don't- cruised over to a friends who got theirs back this morning.

LittleSassy 08-26-2005 08:15 AM

i heard Katrina left 4 dead...:(

Ross 08-26-2005 08:22 AM

How much would the boat in the first pic cost roughly?

Man thats gotta suck seeing your boat lying UNDER the water.

brand0n 08-26-2005 08:39 AM

1st pic.. id say 60k

BitAudioVideo 08-26-2005 08:46 AM

lowball figure.. a boat is 1k/ft up to 20 feet and the price curve greatly increases after that

most people say a boat is "a hole in the water you throw money into"

dont feel bad for the guy in the 1million dollar house on miami beach who has a sunken $75k boat, he has good insurance and what they dont pay for FEMA will.

cool1 08-26-2005 08:50 AM

wow bummer there was so much damage
I would not want to be one of those boat owners.

FUCK J0EL 08-26-2005 08:51 AM

That really sucks !
Ask Mike-Dutch what it feels like to sink a boat ;)

Pipecrew...Am I going to get my T-Shirt promised at InterNext ? ;)

lord don't get me started on that subject..

cheers :)

Pipecrew 08-26-2005 10:10 AM

We have power, the place i live never seems to loose power, it's great. Kind of explains the huge influx of people hanging out here.. Just saw on the news right now over 1 million people do not have power.

Plugin Feeds K 08-26-2005 10:12 AM

Such nice boats ... damn, that sucks.

MandyBlake 08-26-2005 10:13 AM

oh man that's gotta suck.

Honez 08-26-2005 11:25 AM

I am glad that it wasn't any worse than it was, although it was still bad enough. I used to live directly on the beach in Daytona and got hit once. Not fun. Let's hope Katrina loses all her steam and no one else gets hit.

loverboy 08-27-2005 10:20 AM

the day the worst nightmares came to issurance companies

SleazyDream 08-27-2005 11:24 AM

tristan_D 08-28-2005 11:56 PM

kaktuz 08-29-2005 12:08 AM

no shit this whole issue is fucking scary looks like a holywood film :(

PixeLs 08-29-2005 12:20 AM

At least the boat stayed there. They can still be recovered unlike when they slammed to the road and turn into pieces.

adonthenet 08-29-2005 12:30 AM

gecko 08-29-2005 03:36 AM

Actually in the islands they sink their boats on purpose.
They remove the engines of course but the rest of the boat if made of fiberglass can stay under water just fine

em_sc 08-29-2005 08:33 AM

crazy pics....

em_sc 08-29-2005 08:33 AM
