$100,00 ....... That would be an easy 20% down on an $500,000 apartment complex, then reinvest all the income into smaller properties like single family homes. Should have a net worth of over a million in a couple of years, no problem. Plus I would have one hell of a retirement income.

I would SERIOUSLY look into 3rd World overnight & short/midterm exchange rates. Little known [GOOD THING!] investment vehicle--put US $$$ in 3rd World banks who pay HIGH overnight rates in local currency. Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and, used to be until Mahathir fucked shit up, Malaysia all sport banking institutions that pay 9 to 18% [depending on market fluctuations] for short term money market deposits. This translates to major [to use the rap term for cash] BLING BLING.

You just have to do it right and pay all your taxes coming in and out. Even with these "points" you still beat the hell out of any US CD rate by a mile! Sure, its risky as hell [remember the Mexico meltdown in the early 90's or Russian collapse?] but the rewards are fat!

100,000 to a million dollars? What kind of time do you need on this. You should invest it in some AA bonds over a period of 25 years or something along those lines. AA bonds are decent and give a pretty good return, make sure they include a Inflation Premium and a MRP.

Just talking about above.. I know a guy who did that with some extra money he had ($1,000,000 or so) and made like $150-200 million overnight.. he was pretty happy.. bought an awesome golf course in FL.

Depends on where you live, but good point, HeadPimp. I am looking into Real Estate here in Los Angeles. Unlike the rest of the country, $100K does not go far here when it comes to multi-family homes, the best looking deal I've seen so far is $350K for a 6 unit setup... in the HOOD. So I'm still looking, preferably something on the only part of LA worth living in...the West Side.

i would go to mexico, buy 250 acres of land, barbwire and rottweilers around the "complex".. there pimpsticky and myself would rule the world with jack daniels, cigars and 50-calibers..
