Kanye and Common are my favorite hip hop artists right now.
They are two of the few out there actually making good songs with real lyrics rather than the other groups that just make it for the club.

I kinda agree. I mean i think the guy is talented and i totally respect his business sense but i think he should try making an album without sampling.

He's going waaaay to far mainstream, personally I don't like his rhyming skills, he should stick to producing, he was the ILL producer before he blew up as an MC, but who can blame the guy, he's got money pouring out of his ass, hard to knock that!

I'm originally from Chicago and out of all the rappers I've heard from there, he is one of my least favorite :disgust

i watched the last big interview with him on MTV while i was running at the gym and i was struck by the fact that this guy is extremely talented and bright as well as very honest. i really would not be surprised if he becomes one of the most successful people in hip hop in terms of building an empire. he knows what people want. he knows what sells. he knows how to sell it. he achieved a lot just producing and writing before he ever released a song himself.

in one of his latest videos (the name elludes me) where the storyline revolves around the diamond trade - he's showing all these africans getting fucked by white folks buying and wearing diamonds AND not one black person in the video is wearing any diamonds, therefore not contributing to the injustice of the diamond trade.
