Is there any majic away around this dam thing I'm to stupid to figure out? 6 months later i still have email addys getting over 500 of these a day. Spending half my time downloading email these days. I have never opened one and dont have the virus and they automatically get put into my dleted file on download but anyway anyone might no to get the mail server to reject them. I cant take no more.

Why not just install virus filtering software on your mail server? That way you're protected against this virus... as well as the other hundreds of thousands out there.

The mail server just deletes any email that contains a virus, and all you receive is a notice telling you who tried to send you the virus.

If you control your own mailserver and if its running Sendmail, I'd suggest you look at the following procmail script.

We've used a slightly modified version of it for nearly a year and it blocks 99% of the nasty bugs running around.

If you want some advice, why don't you just open that damn attachment? :stoned

kimmykim or someone else posted a link to download the antivirus patch/fix for this problem. There are about 3 variants to this virus...they all work the same way though.
