Getting murdered is the best career move you can make as a rapper.
|
Sometimes faking your murder can be very profitable too

He got into a lot of shit ... hit head grew ... he probably got into more shit when mainstream then back in the hood ... and he became a monster. The media and mainstream corporations turned the whole rap scene into a "wrestling" rap ghetto monsters ... now white kids think they are related to rap music when they live in 500k $ houses and have suvs all over ... I don't relate to rap music anymore honestly ... I understand how it grew ... the meaning ... studied tons of old school stuff to see where it came from . And it really degenerated . It's not what it was meant to be. |

Why is this humorous? I'm curious?
I prefer the likes of The Beatles, Lennon, the Who, Zeppelin, Kinks, etc etc - Yet even withstanding my appreciation for some of the greatest contemporary music of our time (classic rock) - even withstanding the fact I appreciate guitar solos, and progressive music, I can STILL say I respect and appreciate Tupac. As most should. Stop being such fucking snobs. Is this a misdirected inferiority complex? Whereas, you live vicariously through YOUR favorite bands/make comparisons, and feel the incessant need to condescend rap artists? A deceased one at that, who just so happend to help many with their few lives. Change your life? Perhaps not, but I guess that's where the hatred/critisism comes from. Since *YOU* didn't benefit, all to hell with the man/artist/genre, etc. Why even bother typing - this is YOUR world, I just merely type in it. Quote:

Besides, who/what someone is - is all relative/subjective to your own isolated views on life. This is called "perception". To whom you consider a gangster, may in fact be a Hero to someone else. For this reason, I think you should be more sensitive to others tastes/views. And or at the very least obstain from interjecting with remarks that are completely groundless. It's clear you haven't given the man a chance, thus you have no sense of his depth. Instead, you rather be presumptuous and generalize/classify Tupac's existance as a whole - simply as "gangster". I look at your perspective as no less childish than some 16-yr old saying "The Beatles are an oldie band, they suck so bad". Or better yet, "John Lennon? Ha, just another hippie". It's all in the same - entirely too pretentious. :2 cents: - done with this topic, I've said my piece. |
2pac will always be in my heart

I strongly disagree on this, but im not suprised you fail to see 2pac's work as artistic. Anyhow, Shakur Center for the arts is not directly related with him. It's a non profitable arts center (theater and poetry )for youth in risk. |
50$ to only see his statue?
wtf! |

Nothing really funny about this.. Tupac was a great artist from the days with Digital Underground up to his death.. For those who think he's still alive you need to go back and look up the autopsy photos...
The guy was putting out like a song a day before he died thats why they are still releasing so much material.. If you were a record executive, you'd do the same. Both Pac and Biggie were serious innovators in their genres of music, style, and location... It's his center, they can erect whatever the fuck they want on it really... And it's pretty nice that after his death his memory lives on in a more positive way.. His name is giving something back to the community.. |
2Pac h8rs can hit the bricks
