What is the world's best coffee?

I love my coffee. I love a lot of coffees served a lot of different ways, but I want to know what the absolute best is.

So what have you got for me?

Ethiopian Yrgacheffe is my favorite for a "specialty" coffee. Normally, I'd agree with Jamaican Blue.

Canada is built on Tim Hortons coffee.

http://www.timhortons.com/

Most of us have one every day. In my town, there are about 30,000 people. There are 7 Tim Hortons including the smaller versions attached to gas stations.

Every morning, you have to budget for an extra 10-15 min wait in line as they are all very busy.

I don't think that it's the fanciest coffee, but it is defiantly very good.

HDADULT 08-24-2005 05:36 PM

Tim Horton's is great.

Tim Hortons has a standard to follow ? "If it's not sold within 20 minutes of being brewed, it's not served at all."
They dump it out and make a fresh pot after 20 minutes.

Costa Rican coffee is number one :thumbsup Britt

jayeff 08-24-2005 10:01 PM

The most expensive coffee is Kopi Luwak, an Indonesian coffee which first passes through the digestive system of a civet and is sifted from their droppings. The total harvest is only about 500 pounds a year and it costs around $75 a quarter-pound.

My favorite coffee is French Roast Costa Rican and much more modestly priced: $9 a pound from http://www.damicofoods.com/

reed_4 08-24-2005 10:20 PM

i love starbuck's mocha frappo.

webcrawler 08-24-2005 10:28 PM

I'd prefer the homegrown "barako" blend from the Phil.

axelcat 08-24-2005 10:35 PM

tasters choice is the best

High Quality 08-24-2005 10:36 PM

1) go to Austin, TX
2) Go to south Congres
3) Jo's Coffee. Nuff Said. Best coffee I've ever had and I drink a shitload of coffee.

Yeah and it is supposed to be some awesome coffee but I don't think I'll be drinking something a civet shit out. They are suspected of being the reason for the SARS outbreak from people eating them. You can no longer import them into the US, China prohibits the sale of them as pets and ordered the slaughter of all civets in captivity.
