Do you use Trillian, ICQ, MSN, AOL, AIM, IRC?
If you don't use Trillian which allows you to use all of them at once then you are missing out.
http://www.trillian.cc Works like a charm, its also Ludedude approved! It's currently seeking boneprone approval. |
it crashes my shit, and i never even used it with icq, i have 489+ contacts on it, i htink trillian would implode with that kind of load on it....
wait, it didnt crsh my shit, it had some kind of anomoly where it kept loggin me in and out of AIM really quick and AIM blocked me for exxessive logins, it suct... |
I like the concept but it keeps dropping my connections so its back to Mirc and ICQ.
I thought it might save resources but its more of a memory hog than both of them put together |
i still prefer the trained Message Monkey method.
|
carrier pigeons seem to work well if you dont mind waitng a few days...
|
yes
|
aim, icq :-) sometimes msn ... fuck the rest.
|
ill try it. But it better not crash my shit!
|
I'm using it right now.. it makes my nipples feel funny.
|
Here on the east coast we train cod for water transport, seagulls for air delivery and beavers for Continental North America.
Very reliable but they keep getting cought.:ak47: |
I use Tedmail
|
It just crashed my shit an hour ago. Now I know what the XP bluescreen looks like! Thank god for the restore feature!
|
I use Trillian -- works great for me.... with one exception. I can't seem to login to both ICQ & AIM at the same time...
Not really a big deal though -- still a cleaner interface than both AIM and MSN Messenger. |
all the connection errors can be fixed by downloading the patches of trillian lately they have been posting patches like once every 2 days or so. slick system i like it... i give it 2 thumbs...

Good lord....I wonder what you guys are running that crash your systems like that?
I currently use Trillian 0.7.24 on Windows NT 4 SP6A, Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP Professional. 3 different systems and I've never seen the stuff you guys report. I don't know what it might be conflicting with, but some of my systems run very heavy aps and I've never seen this. Anyway, I have no stake in the product. It's free. It has no ads, no bullshit *and* it has a 128 bit encrypted secure connection that you can use in ICQ/AIM and on IRC. As 4pics says, it definitely gets the Ludedude stamp of approval. Hey...Hungryman...who do I see about getting a stamp made? :winkwink: |

Has anyone tried JesusPager yet? I wonder how much better it is.
|
The key to trillian is to check regularly for patches, there was a patch out the same day the AOL thing happened.. I use it with a couple thousand contacts, ICQ can't do that :)
|
Even better....the new versions (0.7.22 and up) have a new notification feature that will tell you about updates and prompt you to download it if you want.
No more guessing. Trillian rocks :thumbsup |
hmmm, I may to try it out...between ICQ, AOL IM, Devil Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and extreemly rarely, MSN Messenger (fucking netmeeting), I'm fucking going insane (hell ICQ is so wishy-washy for me, it's driving me nuts......
|
Not only have I not had a single problem with Trillian (aside from having to tweak a shitload of options after installing), but it also logs Messenger. What's not to like?
|
Loving this triallian thing!!!!!! :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup
|
Trillian rocks.. And if you're getting a bluescreen on XP, it has nothing to do with trillian - that means some of your hardware has crappy drivers. That's just about the only thing that can crash Win2k/XP..
Cheers, Backov |
use trillian here for a long time - easy to manage ALL contacts - though there where some problems recently with ICQ & AIM - as they both dont like people like trillian - because they loose ad $$$
but other than making sure to keep 1 step ahead of the update cycle - it works great and hard to go back because of the convenience - and the history is a hell of a lot better - it is a standard text file :) |
