Robertson Says U.S. Should Kill Venezuelan President

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- The founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network said the United States should assassinate Venezuela's leftist President Hugo Chavez.

On Monday's broadcast of "The 700 Club," the Rev. Pat Robertson said, "We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability."

Chavez, who often expresses strident opposition to U.S. policies and influence, has spent the last several days in Cuba meeting with the island's communist leader Fidel Castro.

Calling the president of oil-rich Venezuela a threat to U.S. security, Robertson said assassinating Chavez would be "a whole lot cheaper than starting a war." He added, "It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and get it over with."

I lived 20 years under communist dictatorship. It was horrible and thank to USA it is over. Chavez, Castro and so on are a group of assholes.

- he has WMD
- he runs rape rooms and torture chambers
- he can attack the USA within 15 minutes
- he is developping nuclear ( or nukular for the GOP ) weapons
- he gazed his own people
- he tried to kill GW's daddy
- he subsidize terrorists
- he is linked to Al-Quaida
- he supplied the fuel to fly AA Flight 11, so involved in 9/11
- freedom and democracy needs to be spreaded

Last time I checked he was the leader of a democracy so how does that make him a commie? Oh ya, he's the leader of a democracy that isn't taking orders from Washington so now he's a commie. You have to kill him because a religious nut says so and you accept it because he's simply a 'commie'. And for any else that realises that Chavez isn't a commie you can refer to him as a terrorist, boogie man, or whatever else you are comfortable with so long as the democratically elected leader of a soveriegn nation is murdered by you allowing US petroleum companies can have access to the 4% of the world's oil that Venezuela possesses.

I giggle my ass off when the people in the White House are screaming from the pulpit about how we have to battle against religious fundamentalists in the Middle East, while at the same time saying that God doesn't want stem cell research and the problem with public schools is that there isn't enough prayer.

I just love how many people talk about allende and pinochet when most likely they dont even know the name of the capital of chile.. Allende was elected in free elections.. and he was NOT commi.. he was socialist.. but still he didnt know shit about economy and chile went downhill to their worse crisis... then pinochet took over and ruled chile for a very long period in a "Castro" style... no freedom of speech no freedom at all actually, yes.. the economy turned to the right and started growing.. but he molded chileans minds to the point where even today he is untouchable by the law and people are still scared of talking about him.. also dont be fooled by propaganda.. chile has the most stable economy but its still a VERY poor country and more than anything the wealth is very badly distributed.. basically there is no middle class.. you are either rich or poor...
