Metallica - The Unforgiven or The Unforgiven II?

They're both good, but Unforgiven can't be beat.

By the by... Metallica themselves said that Unforgiven II is not a sequal but a completely different song and as such, shouldn't really be compared to the first.

And Unforgiven is OK. The II is just too mooshy for my taste.

The Unforgiven. If you forget why skip to 3:30 into the song and enjoy the best 40, or so, seconds ever.

it sucks that the 'slow' songs get all the media attention... i personally like their hard shit the best

I like both types... hard, "slow" ... but yeah, they do tend to keep it "soft" on the radio and stuff :Oh crap

Gonna have to go with Unforgiven II, the solo in Unforgiven is fucking awesome though, and you respect it even more if you've seen A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica.

I like the first one more.

metallica started goin downhill when they started working with bob rock. the black album was ok, but it was to radio friendly for my taste. i love seek n destroy, whiplash, fight fire with fire, ride the lightning, the call of ktulu, fade to black, battery, master of puppets, sanitarium, one. mostly their fast, heavy stuff though. if i would have to choose, i'd choose the first unforgiven.

The first one - the 2nd one was then they seriously started to decline
