system resources are low...wtf?
I am getting sick of this shit.
I am on a p3 550 with 448 mb ram win98 and updated all the patches. Right now the only programs that are running; icq and one explorer. When i am checking systemproperties/performance it says system resources: very low %6 free When i try to open another explorer it does not work as the other programs. This shit happens if i do not reboot the machine for like 1day. And when i reboot it, everything works ok for like 1 day and then again it says low system resources. I formatted the computer 2 days ago because of this problem but it still exist. I have not fucking installed any big programs yet, but it already started to crash. Is there any way to figure out what the problem is.... |
Break your Win98 cd and feed it to a pack of wild boars...
format c: then go get Win2K Pro. |
icq is a memory whore. if you leave it running for 24 hours, it will eat up as much ram as it can find.
|
i fear you are not on a p3, i think you may be on a Commodore 64... I made liquid metal graphics on my C-64 up until last week when it sparked and burned my hosue down from a dry-rotting power cord...

ROFLMFAO!!!!! im dyin over here... thx to you I now am going to go smoke weed for the first time in 3 weeks!! hahahahaahaf;sdhjgl |
The weird thing is I used to do all same shit and never had this fucked resource problem. I remeber leaving it open and leaving home for the christmas break for like 20 days and it was still working when i got back(icq was turned on too).
But for like two three months this shit happens all the time. Also, right after i reboot ,when i run traffic trade script and tgp script the same time and couple of explorers it again crashes. I feel like throwing the bitch out of the window. |

yup.... icq is a bitch... always shut that fucker down when you're away or it'll eat your memory like a starving $2.00 whore eats cock for a $5 spot.
|
is there anyway to figure out how much memory is eaten by which program?
a dumb question: Does computers performance goes down like the cars. I think when you format it everything pretty much works like it was at the time you purchased it. My puter is very old, may be she wants to retire or something? lol |
Get a sledge hammer, apply sledge hammer to pc. You're done!

Check the size of your disk cache, too. Sometimes Winblows has a tendency to snag a ton of memory and use it for the disk caching system. That's good sometimes, but if it grabs too much and doesn't let it go, things bog down. |
