not exactly the same kind of music. Nothing against Tom Petty but that's like saying B-52's, Mozart or Lynrd Skynrd are better. Totally different style.

Dark Side of the Moon is among the greatest albums ever produced, however the song "Echoes" from the "Meddle" album ranks as my favorite song - in it I can imagine the birth of life on earth, evolution, and the eventual destruction of the planet due to human stupidity...although I sometimes hear in it instead a universal spirit that transcends everything. I guess that's what I like so much about the song.

Of course, still other times I just think that the lead riff rocks at the climax of the song, and that's enough.
