Just Arrived In New Brunswick, Some More Pics!
Phew finally got off the road from Quebec and am now in Bathurst New Brunswick! Man we left Quebec City 2 days ago and drove north east up the St Lawrence River and stopped off last night in a small town called Bay Comeau. We woke up today drove 50 kms north to Godbout (holy shit can you say small town!)
We took the ferry from Godsbout to Metaine and then drove directly here... Man there are some incredible mountains and beautiful coastal views on the way, just an amazing drive! However my cell phone has not picked up a signal in 2 days LOL! We are REALLY far north and if you go any further north you pretty much don't have any roads to choose from just summer logging roads. The Satellite Navigation in my car doesn't even work in some sections this far north LOL! Anyways having a great time and am driving to Charlottetown Prince Edward Island tomorrow, if there are any GFYers living up in this part of the east coast and want to get together for a beer give me a shout on ICQ 5191566. We will be in St John NB on tuesday as well :) Here are some pics from the last 2 days of travel thru northern quebec (St Lawrence). St Anne De Baptiste Church (unbelievably big church just outside of Quebec City) http://gallerytrafficservice.com/ima...s/IMG_0148.JPG http://gallerytrafficservice.com/ima...s/IMG_0150.JPG http://gallerytrafficservice.com/ima...s/IMG_0156.JPG http://gallerytrafficservice.com/ima...s/IMG_0166.JPG http://gallerytrafficservice.com/ima...s/IMG_0169.JPG DH |

Looks nice! I gotta get my pictures up from last week.. did almost the exact same thing as you..
5 days to see it all.. not really enough!! :) just make sure you see Nova Scotia, and I wouldn't worry about getting to Cape Breton Island... the Fortress of Louisberg is neat, but not worth the 5 hour drive :) (eachway) Peggy's Cove is pretty nice too.. I didn't care much for PEI... It was fun crossing the bridge, and fun to drive in for an hour, but after that, it was basically a rural area with red soil and lots of potatoes :) |
Shots from Godboat a small village in the far north of quebec (another ferry crossing that took us across the st lawrence)
