Why do people always think that oil prices are tied to the war - we haven't exported oil from Iraq since 1972 when they nationalized the oil production in Iraq - has nothing whatsoever to do with the price of oil now other than US idiots that can't figure out they are being taken for a ride by the oil companies.

More importantly, what the heck does supporting US troops have to do with the price of oil?

A tiny hint... the oil price is a world-wide price, not a US linked one. The price is going up because of fear of terrorism and fear of ANOTHER US war... AND it is going up because the US economy sucks so much that the fucking USD is worth nothing anymore.
