is UFC fake or not?
Top marquee matches have been rumored to be predetermined.
Besides, your local fight producer is likely to produce a more action-packed show than anything Dana White can dig up for an opener. Seriously, wouldnt you rather watch a local fight than those UFC prelim bouts or the SPike TV show? |
No... Real As It Gets
|
Real, I know someone who does UFC and it is real.
|
its all fake
100% fake the fighters are holograms the blood is ketchup the ring is made out of cardboard |
Real.
There have been worked fights in the past, Frye/Hall, for example. Some rumblings about Shamrock/Franklin. But the show is real- watch tonight to see how real :thumbsup |
it's for real
|
cool. i totally like the idea of fighting holograms.
those computers sure can generate realistic moving images these days. |
Step in the ring and find out.
|
Everything on TV is optimized for ratings and the UFC is no exception. I'm not saying its rigged or people are taking dives but anythings possible and I have seen some suspect knockouts. Money talks and most people have their price. Especially if they are blue collar, in debt, babies to feed...... Organized fighting events by which many of people other than the fighters, stand to make big money have and will always be currupt to some degree. Its human nature. The greedy cannot and will not keep their hands off the stakes.
|
I'm not sure how you'd fake those kinds of fights, these guys are for real. That said if you live anywhere near the Northwest you'll get top notch "amatuer" fights, that 9 times out of ten are better than PPV.
The president of Pride was here a month ago just to wach the show in Everett. |
Its just like boxing. When there are opportunities to make more interesting matches with more $$$, why not fake some of them...just ask Don King...he knows better.
|
these are serious dudes and i think most would rather kick some ass and keep their records than to throw a fight :2 cents:
|
It is real from what I have seen and all, I love UFC
|
its real
|
UFC is as real as it gets, Altho UFC sucks compared to about 4 years ago when it was just starting out and had "NO RULES".. When it had no rules that shit was fucking insane..
Now they have a few rules but mostly good clean fight. |
they need to allow small joint manipulation, eye gouging, fish hooking, and groin shots.
|
real i know a couple of the fighters

so fake. I have a friend who is a famous cage fighter and he has said on numerous occasions that 90% of the headline fights have a predeteremined ending. If you watched the ufc on saturday night you would know what i mean - Jeremy Horn never really even got hit but he managed "have problems seeing". Bullshit, pure bullshit.

here's another one of a guy pretending to get his brains kneed in: http://www.fightreport.net/gifs/irvin_martin.gif this place is crawling with jackasses. |
"let's just say i'd be very surprised if shammy agreed to a work in which he gets his head bounced off the mat repeatedly."
Ken's background is in pro wrestling, he would be more than willing to eat a few shots for the sake of making a work look effective. Doesn't mean I think the fight was a work, just saying that its not out of the question, given that Franklin had already signed his contract at that stage and they are hyping him as a new poster boy. For the record I'm a huge mma enthusiast and know its more real than any other sport in the world. But there have been the odd work, unfortunately. (More so in Pride) |
oh ok i see how it is. Animal mother has a couple of gifs and now he has solved the mystery of if the "ufc is real or not". Well those gifs show nothing, its impressive looking due to the camera angles. I can show you numerous videos of japanese pro wrestling which looks as real as the ufc (mma style pro wrestling), though it isnt and i bet meat heads like animal mother are going to go off about how you cant fake mma fights. Hey animal mother, before you start beaking off about how people are jackasses, ask yourself if you have a famous cage fighting friend. I bet the answer is no, so you dont go acting like youhave the inside scoop.....jackass. Good Night!
|
was at the show saturday night in Vegas it Kicked ass and didn't seem fake at all!!!
|
I think ya know!

are you people trolls or retards? |
I was there too and I didnt hear a thud. Looked and sounded more like an inner thigh to me. :winkwink:
Notice no sig and try to be more sensetive to the developmentally impaired please. |
The ufc is alot like santa claus. If you believe in it, then of course these highly scripted matches are going to look real. One day animal mother will perhaps create a bond with a famous cage fighter (like i did) and he will get the inside scoops and realize it isnt all real. When this happens, the next ufc he watches will be like the first christmas he had after he found out santa wasnt real....the excitement and wonder will have been replaced by anger and resentment.
Animal mother, if you need someone to talk to, dont hesitate to message me. Angry. |

I think it has become all scripted just like the WWE, it has become a lot more mainstream, so here come the stupid story lines :2 cents: |
Or maybe you're not getting trolled. At any rate, I refuse to argue with fools.

Dont get me wrong, i like the ufc but i hate seeing people spending their hard earned cash on something they can watch every week (wwe) for free. A perfect example of how fake the ufc is, was the telligman/sylvia fight. At first glance that fight looked to end in one of the most brutal knockouts that the ufc has witnessed, but my friend (famous cage fighter) made me watch it again. Prior to the "ko" telligman slyly winks at tim, who then flurries and ends with the "brutal" high kick....if you watch it again, you will not only see the "wink" but you will also see that the slapping sound of the kick was late...this was due to the sound engineer missing his cue for the "kick sound".
