How many different hosts do you use?
 

Personaly I stick with only 3 :thumbsup

Webair, hostive ( down ), Serverprovider, phatservers.

phatservers and blue gravity.

Serverprovider. 2 accounts, 1 dedicated, 1 virtual.

Add a box with SplitInfinity too!

isprime. We have daily backups as well on another DC(In The Netherlands), but we never used it(and proberly never will) since isprime is so damn great.

2 of them in 2 different Data Cetners on 2 seperate netowrks

3 adult and 2 mainstream

Why spread them around, have you yet to see a really good one?

Maybe to use a Windows or Linux specialist? Since some company's specialize one way or the other.

I find it amazing some of you guys don't understand why you should even have more than 1 host tho...which thinking about it, its actualy good :Graucho

My idea. We host at isprime. And never had any problems as well. But why not keep a backup server(s) with daily updates in another city(country in our case) just in case....You only pay for the server space, and the few GB's of daily changes...When something happens(for example terrorist attack) on their DC, we only have to edit the NS, and within 2 hours we re backup...

The fact you mentioned people using several hosts because they haven't found a good one speaks volumes about what you seem to know tho :1orglaugh

Thats a good option, you guys do something most people never heard or know about: do regular backups

There are lots of good things about not putting all your eggs in the same basket tho ;)

Maybe you should try learning instead of talking crap.

There is not nead to use several hosts if the host is good, bottom line.

If your really worried about terriost bombing your hosting companys datacenter then you are too worried and need to relax.

If anything back up to another location, but spreading your websites around for so called PR ranking is foolish.

And an attemp to cheet the search engines that will only waste your time.

If you want to get ranked well find good link trades and listings on clean networks. Cross linking your websites from several hosts will not make the impact needed to get a competive ranking.

I would love to tell you more but you don't even deserve these tips with your attitude problem.

What is wrong with having daily backups? We care for our biz, and the one of our affiliates. They can't have downtime. Nothing worse for them, then being listed on thehun, and we being down. We don't run our biz alone. We run it with our affiliates, and we believe we should do this backup strategy.

And DWHS is large hosting company that focuses and quality not bottom barrel prices that why we do not have 80,000 $2 customers that companies will throw away if they flinch wrong.

We care and work with every customer, and are exactly where we want to be in growth.

As far as being in the top three, I think we are number 1 in quality. You can say what you want, but I'm basing this off of 4 years experience not trying to look cool on GFY. :winkwink:

Nothing, I meant back ups are the only reason why you really need more then one host if the host is good. And to do daily back ups are ideal and generally a custom inviroment that high end websites like yours use.
