Probably the one where tens of thousands of people from another country carrying 80% of the crystal meth that gets to our kids. Also megatons of other dangerous chemicals and weapons and slaves.

I think that constitutes an emergency. What really bothers me is it took this fucking long for these governors to address this problem using a simple law, that was on the books for decades if not a century or more. That's the real emergency, the emergency of ignorance of the public servants.

Well so that's the story homies! Notice how nothin' got done til they realized that there was money in it to actually do something about it. If a governor declares a state of emergency he or she get federal funding and assistance. To the tune of millions of dollars and major breaks. So those laws have been on the books for decades if not a century or more. Most south western states don't do shit about it because of various and obvious reasons.

As for the other ones I am guess you are talking about Canada right? Though why would those states care then. You can get all the dangerous chemicals you desire at retail stores right near you as it is. Weapons? well typically the weapons come from the US and get transported elsewhere, sort of been the tradition ya know. Slaves umm I do think most of the slaves are not crossing the border but coming into places like NY and SF via asia. Well I am sure some come in from Canada as well.
