What do you foresee happening in Iraq?

What do people out there in pornoland think will be happening with the future of Iraq?

How will US involvement in that country influence the relationship between Islam and the West?

sfera 08-19-2005 06:15 AM

well i think that we will be able to establish democracy wich will help the situation in the middle east. it is very hard to control the islamic radical because of the violent nature of the islam religion beging taught to young children since they were you to hate the infidel and the west(usa). We need to control their education systems as well so we can change that. Alse we need to nuke iran for fucking iwth us. :thumbsup

Herb Kornfield 08-19-2005 06:18 AM

A lot of people dying is what I forsee for many years to come.

This area has been at war since the dawn of time, if anyone thinks that peace is going to happen you are sadly mistaken.

The US should stop occupying Iraq. Its only making the sutation worse for everyone.

dennisthemenace 08-19-2005 06:55 AM

Nothing positive for some time to come unfortunately. Those people have been through enough.

True.... Very hard to understand...

It's not like if 130,000 heavily armed invaders came in, took over the country and abused the population... Then I would understand their hatrid.... :1orglaugh

The US will keep trying to install a US-friendly goverment that gives the US another friendly provider of oil, yet prices in the US for oil will continue to rise.

That's how I forsee it in the next 2-5 years.

Sad to say but war and conflict is the natural state for mankind.
Peacetime is not the norm...

pain lots of pain!

HarrytheNazi 08-19-2005 07:50 AM

revolution

BlueDesignStudios 08-19-2005 07:56 AM

i reckon a lot more people will die

KRL 08-19-2005 08:55 AM

You've got a discombobulated government, disparate tribal based groups all vying for power, massive corruption, ill equipped police and military forces, all sitting on a trillion dollars of one of the worlds most valuable commodities.

That's called a recipe for civil war.

Martin 08-19-2005 08:58 AM

I see a pull out coming before the next elections.

Paul 08-20-2005 06:52 AM

Yup Cival war would be my guess, would have been better off killing everyone in Iraq and starting again, much less problems

Paul 08-20-2005 06:55 AM

Another job well done by America :lol

Rui 08-20-2005 09:48 AM

"vietnam II"

Antonio 08-20-2005 10:05 AM

one thing is certain, there'll be no peace in the next decade or two

what the stupid kunt Bush did can not be undone, but he should pull out and let the Iraqies sort out their own problems

Linkster 08-20-2005 10:10 AM

Lets see if they can really come up with a constitution by Monday (the deadline) - if not - I would say civil war is right around the corner - and would be a really good time for the US and others supporting them to get the hell out of the way

should of nuked them in '79 - Carter Admin. then none of this bullshit would have happened. They would have known their role. Gas prices wouldnt have never have gone up so sharply OPEC would have been kissing our ass.

jayeff 08-20-2005 10:11 AM

Chaos. Exactly what the US intended right from the off...

t.Dot 08-20-2005 10:13 AM

wouldnt a pull out now dishonor those who have given their lives?

Bill8 08-20-2005 10:15 AM

Americans will run away because of political and economic cowardice and military and leadership incompetence.

It will collapse into a civil war which will be won by islamic extremists, it will then become the most extreme islamic state in existence.

Then it will sell all of it's oil to china and the pacific rim states, at better prices than the americans would have paid.

Not at all - having spent 12 years in the military I would be grateful if someone had pulled us out a little earlier - I wouldnt have lost so many friends and I wouldnt have to honor their service at their headstones - I could be doing it with a raised glass at their favorite bar with them.

Well said, but what I also see as a big fallout here is what will happen when all of these troops come home? There is going to be some serious pyschological problems and more than a few unable to cope.

If they don't achieve their objective in stabilizing the country I would hate to see another Vietnam-like "welcome back" by the citizens (which, btw, has got to be one of the most embarassing periods in your country's history).

badmunchkin 08-20-2005 10:47 AM

We're never leaving Iraq - they're just waiting until people don't care anymore or forget the real reasons we went to war to call it a new US territory.

It was never a war - it has always been the occupation of Iraq.

samsam 08-20-2005 10:48 AM

who gives a fuck what we think?

what matters is what they think and people in the middle east hate our fucking guts and want to kill us.

sicone 08-20-2005 10:51 AM

My prediction for Iraq is...

the sun will rise in the east and set in the west

Sand will be blown in many different directions, getting into everything

it will be unbearably hot

Well - I definitely agree on the welcome home thing from Vietnam - but I also think that with the limited losses we have over in Iraq right now the public fervor hasnt spun up yet - and from what Ive seen of some of my employees husbands coming home - most seem to be in pretty good shape - but there are things that if youve never been near a war youve never experienced and those definitely do produce some real psychological problems - that said I think that I have to remember that even with the end of Korea (or at least the part that ended in the 50s) the effects are about what I would expect now - it was pretty much the same and the people involved had some small effects.
Remember also that since the Vietnam was we as a society have "invented" quite a few new maladies or illnesses that didnt exist back then :) The new feel-gooders have had their way and that Im afraid has let to quite some softening of mental capacity to deal with issues - or at least has given quite a few new ways to blame issues on something other than yourself

samsam 08-20-2005 10:59 AM

i predict that they will resent the fact that we came in and destroyed their country....

they will then do the same to us, turning our cities into chaos

So true...Just ask anyone stationed in S.Korea if it was safe at the line.
You just never hear about it.
