30 hops is good enough for most sites, right? :)

It can be, but depends on latency. Generally, the more hops the more latency you'll have but the REAL problems are at peering points and not internal hops.

Actually Anthony from e5 is a very smart guy and probably one of the nicest guys you would ever meet, drama.

You got me figured out.. still doesnt change the fact he posted incorrect information about competitor to make their network / cogent look bad and his look exceptional..

Putting the incorrect hops aside, the traceroutes he did post didnt even use the cogent network which means those traceroutes were completely useless and had absolutely no bearing on whether cogent was a good or bad network.

I know the facts and those are what i called him out on. How can you say i dont know all the facts when i do? It's quite simple. He made multiple errors in his post to knock a company down and i called him ou.

The right thing to do is make sure whatever you post is true and not complete BS. Had he taken the time to make sure what he posted was right this wouldnt be an issue so stop trying to pin it on me. Look I messed up on my post and dram pointed it out. I give him credit because he read my post very thoroughly and pointed the mistakes I made. He did the right thing. That?s what I like about GFY and my live by policy is I will help out dram in any way I can.
