Looks like scandal broke.. Article Bot charges it's members every month to use software that steals your work.

Interesting findings, I wonder exactly what the creators of this app are doing with this information once its on their FTP site.

Whatever they are doing with it (and they are still denying they even collect it), it certainly can't be a positive thing for the members who have created the content, who have paid to use the product and would assume their pages would be for their eyes only, until uploaded that is. :disgust

I've logged in to the FTP site and saw the info.. he's keeping COPIES of everyone's pages.. not just their pages already "spun" but also their keywords and everything. I found one of his own sites I think too.

Probably also based on what other people have already created, so he can just copy and use them all himself.

What's going on with " the underground " thing ? Did he get busted out and lockdown or start deleting it yet ? lol.

To summarize:

Article Bot connects to a domain owned by Andy Skinner to do a license check Article Bot creates and uploads a copy of the first spun file to his domain Article Bot deletes the uploaded spin file from the user's local machine Article Bot creates and uploads a copy of the user's sitemap for the project Article Bot deletes the uploaded sitemap file from the user's local machine

As you can see, Article Bot has been receiving a copy your templates and keywords from every project you've created.

You should test it on your own. Here's how you do it.

Download Etherpeek NX free demo (http://www.wildpackets.com/products/demos).
Install Etherpeek NX.
Close down any and all software that may use your internet connection.
Open Etherpeek NX and set it to monitor your internet connection.
Open Article Bot (versions 1114 to 1213) and spin a new or existing project. Choose one that has a sitemap to see the extent of everything.
Watch your Article Bot root folder as it runs. You will see temporary files created and then deleted.
Stop the project after a few spins.
Stop Etherpeek NX. Scroll up in the log file and you will see entries similar to those displayed in the screen shot.

This dude is so fucking busted! LOL. Deleting evidence from his FTP site so his customers don't know that all their information is being captured.
