Ms Carty said of the £79.95 toy: "They are selling in the hundreds, which is pretty good for a high priced item."

The vibrator works alongside a website where partners can sign up and, using a special interface on screen, control the amount of pleasure their lover is getting.

Long distance lovers are praising the concept calling it "an incredible turn-on".

The www.sextoys.co.uk website gives a full blown tutorial on how to use the Enabled Rabbit, saying "Simply by clicking and dragging slider bars with the mouse you can control someone else's toy anywhere in the world."

The user in control can manipulate the vibrator to go back and forth at different speeds and in different directions.
