has there been any discussion about...
The new proposed sex offender bill in California yet around here?
What ya think should previously convicted sex offenders even after parole be forced to wear a GPS system at all times? (I do not mind the harsher sentancing guidelines, and the kiddy porn possession now a felony parts). |
I haven't heard about this bill. Where is there more information?
Is someone charged with sexual harassment considered a sex offender? Is that even a real crime? |
Top listing from google news.

I also am pretty sure there would be a 2000 foot predator free zone around schools, parks and other places children go.
One news bite had a sherrif saying he wants to know where offenders are and if they are hanging out around kids, like going to a mall. :disgust I mean sure I understand but a mall? is that not a place to go and buy shit? |
Fuck yes, they should. If a kid ends up missing, they can track those pricks.

I say either drop it and all reporting when parole ends or just stop pretending and make them life sentances in jail. I do not think it is right to try to have it both ways. |

Your statement alone is reason enough why this is a bad idea. On top of the fact that a lot of people are registered sex offenders for just plain silly reasons. Lives destroyed because some crazy bitch decided afterwards that sex was a bad idea. |
It's not like he robbed a store - a sex offender took a piece of someone's soul. That and I think sex offenders have a serious illness, one that should be supervised at all times. So fuck yea, give them a GPS monitor. For that matter, ship them all to a private island and nix the GPS monitors.

Why limit it to sexually offenders? Why not make EVERY convicted felon wear a GPS system.

So again either keep them locked up for life, or drop this when your free punishment. |
True. Very true.
Then again, this type of discrimination I'm really not going to complain about. Maybe after tagging sex offenders they'll start tagging murderers, robbers, jay walkers. My guess is that for politicians enacting such penalties for "sex offenders" plays better to the sheep than talking about murderers / jay walkers. Fucking jay walkers. Quote:

I think criminal records are enough for future reference. What's the point of setting them free if they're not free at all?
|
sounds like bs, mabye for certain type of sex offenders, but you can do some pretty tame stuff for becoming a sex offender. in some states you can become a sex offender for public urination.
|
I think its a great idea. There is no rehabilitation for these bastards, especially child molestors :disgust They NEVER change.

i think they should put the GPS on a certain level of sex offenders, There are the normal sex offenders that had say a 16 year old girlfriend when they was 18 and got himmed up for the bullshit.. Those should not have to wear the GPS but the ones that are like 30+ and have a history of sexual crimes should damn well be tracked.. they are sick fucks..
they caught a guy here that been out of prison for a few years and he confessed to over 190 victims.. some sick fucks so i think along with castration they should have a gps too.. |

Yes - for life. And it should be programmed to make a loud beeping sound when they are too close to schools and such.. Built-in zoning restrictions for life is what I say

Having a personal history with some of this stuff, it's easy to go with my first instinct of "Hell yes".
However, it is a slippery damned slope, I do admit. In an ideal world, each offense would be examined. If it was one of the examples given above...16 yr old girl/18 yr old boy, then no GPS. If it's a 40 year old repeat offender who touches little girls, surgically implant the fucking GPS. But it's not an ideal world. And that wouldn't happen. It would all get lumped together. I think it is an unsound concept, Constitutionally speaking. |
Haven't heard about this thing. Canada's influence is getting stronger.
