Best OTC Sleep Aid?

I really need something to help me sleep. Any suggestions?

It's really a shame we can't buy Flunitrazepam OTC in the states...

Don't buy a "sleep aid."
Usually OTC sleep aids are just 25 mg of Diphenhydramine...basiically benadryl.

So go to wal-mart and buy their version of benadryl...I think it's actually called waldryl...you'll save about $4.00

Funny you should bring this up - I was questioning the same, thereafter four nyquil geltabs didn't knock me out (six hours ago). I'm going to try Unisom, I have before, and it's worked moderately. Then again, so has nyquil.

I've tried the UTC sleep aid - ambien - initially it worked, first day or so. Thereafter that initial day or two, the effects were that of extremely tired restlessness, as if you were in a lucid-dream like state.

The cure is in a Vitamin!

Take 2 MELATONIN tablets 20 minutes before going to bed.

I gurantee you that you will sleep like a baby.

No narcotics, all natural vitamin. You will wake up happy and not groggy

#1 melatonin is not a vitamin :winkwink:

#2 what you suggest is a good viable option to a sleep aid.

Melatonin will definitely help you get your internal clock back on track..but it is suggested that you take it before 11pm so as not to confuse your body even more...and if you are a webmaster I can't see you getting to bed before 11pm every night.

I have used melatonin in the past when I went from working until 4 am and having to be at work at 9 am..it took about 2 straight weeks of taking it and I never had another issue going to bed and getting up at a reasonable time.

definitely melatonin, but the sublingual version...fluid you spray under your tongue, it gets absorbed MUCH faster. used it for months and had no probs with it.

Thanks for the advice about Melatonin.

That's my problem, I have no set schedule much like many other webmasters. I try to wake up at 8am and go to bed at 1am every night, but that turns into me staying up until 11am and sleeping till 5pm and then i'm all kinds of messed up.

You know how it is, you can't just leave an exciting project just to go to bed. Especially when you're SO close to completion. :)
