Worst lead singer I have ever heard

The lead singer, or should I say SCREAMER, of the band underoath. That poor kid is not going to have a voice left when he's 25. He just screams at the top of his lungs, and he does a really poor job of it.

OK! I need to correct myself a bit. I don't listen to a lot of thrash metal. I have been checking some of it out tonight (trying to expand my musical horizons) and, frankly, THEY ALL SCREAM. Some better than others. Are there any other bands out there like SOAD? I understand that they aren't really hardcore but they fucking rock.

Also, has anyone ever been in a mosh pit? What is that experience like?

Check out the Mars Volta - they are opening up for SOAD - I just saw them both in concert last night. :thumbsup

Any specific songs? I really love the classical-metal blend of SOAD. When I first heard the song 'Question', right after that beautiful classical guitar intro, I literally fell off my chair when those guitars started blasting. I had the speakers tuned up way too loud. I guess you have to watch that when you're listening to this kind of music.

The vocal harmonies are awesome. And the lead singer has unbelievable range.

I have heard a few of their songs and I like them (Fuel). No on the Winters Brothers. Until six months ago, I basically only listened to classic rock.

I will check them out. Thanks. I love bands that can make instruments work together that you would never expect to work together, like heavy guitars and harps/flutes. I love that experimental kind of stuff.

That's not the band that was on Conan Obrien last night is it?

Because.... they sucked.

Ahhh, you have not learned that there is a difference between live and studio.

I took my daughter to her first rock concert a couple years ago, Aerosmith, with Fuel as one of the lead bands. She too had heard some of their stuff on the radio, and liked what she had heard.

I told her that sometimes bands did not sound the same live as they did after the studio had their way with them. Fuel only served to confirm my comment.

I took a nap after their first song or two, and she told me it did not get any better.

Yes, if Bon Jovi means John Lennon in French.

Then again, I wouldn't consider him a 'lead' singer.
Just the best singer, who happend to be one quarter of perfection.
