Really Gay Question on RDP
 
I'm trying to copy and paste files from my Win2k machine via Remote Desktop Connection to my xp machine. Anyone know easy way to transfer files between machines? Dumb question I know. Thanks guys n gals

Can you even have a remote destop conection between 2K and XP?

I use TeamViewer to trans files on a LAN. Works well.

I think TeamViewer is just another type of RDP, what I am looking for is a way within RDP to simply copy and paste between machines without using any other 3rd party software... Thank you for post though.

I was having trouble finding a solution to the same problem. I know you can cut and past text but transfering files is another question.

Yea, I actually used windows help for the first time on this one, it specifically states that you can ONLY copy and paste text from server to client. There must be some fix for this, surely, as many users would need to transfer files.

there is the option of sharing your local drives to the other computer just do that and then drag and drop

Yea I have that enabled, and drag and drop doesn't work for some reason? When I try to drag outside the RDP window it won't move onto my desktop.

Probably have to setup FTP on the remote machine to do the graphics and other things. Don't ask me how to do that with windows...
