Why I won't buy SONY computers.
I take care of my puters and equipment. I have art supplies that I bought when I was in high school so long ago most of you weren't born when I graduated.
I've had Toshiba computers for the most part and I have a couple of laptops I bought in '96 and '97 that STILL work perfectly. I got a SONY VAIO 2 years ago and it's shitted TWICE and SONY support had no fucking CLUE on how to fix it. 'I' had to do it on my own by doing a 'Scotty' on it and found a new procedure for rebooting the damned thing. SONY makes great products but their computer division eats tard martian ass. They dodged all over the place on upgrading software and hardware and pissed people off for two years straight. They for some reason have a hardware/software confusion going on that they don't want to admit to and it's frustrating. Glad I went back and bought a new Toshiba. Works like a dream and I'll be buying another for backup. However I won't be buying from SONY anymore. they're too odd. |
I never experimented with sony I heard they are shit before though and I also heard they are charms... I like my dells

I've had the same experience with the Vaio computers. It will take some convincing before I purchase another Sony computer.

you are right on with toshiba being the good... all my toshibas work perfectly fine still even after years of abuse and travel :)

The only Sony stuff I have here with me is my old Sony ericsson phone.

Customer service defines the quality of the products. Always check the customer service rating of a company before buying. |

Lotsa 'happy feely' stuff and no answers. I couldn't believe when SONY didn't update it's firmware for their CD/DVD drives! Left untold thousands of customers FUCKED and then they tried to dodge the issue. That sold it for me on their computers. |

You have to shoot a Toshiba to kill it. I've been in fist fights, gun fights, deserts, mountains, you name it with my toshibas. One of them is famous for being the only computer to work during the 50th Anniversary of the Roswell Incident. Our news forum was there and only my Toshiba was able to carry the load. The only thing wrong with that old Tecra 730 XCDT is I accidently spilled a wee bit of water on the keyboard and may have damaged the HD. I have the latest Qosmio laptop and am getting the next line when it's available in English. Nothin' beats Toshiba. |
