tony286 08-16-2005 07:54 PM

SL|M! 08-16-2005 07:58 PM

Peaches 08-16-2005 08:27 PM

I enjoyed it. Couldn't believe he lost all that weight for it. The extras on the DVD were good too.

I loved it -- Christian Bale is a freak!

The best part of the movie was the score with that weird Vertigo / Day the Earth Stood Still theramin sound.

reynold 08-16-2005 08:51 PM

i better check on that movie too. christian bale is now a hit.

PixeLs 08-16-2005 09:05 PM

I only saw the trailer. I am impressed with how Christian Bale managed to loss weight on that film.

fuzebox 08-16-2005 09:07 PM

I saw it a week after watching Batman Begins... The transformation Christian Bale went through is both amazing and disturbing...

I liked it as well. Jennifer Jason Leigh, woo!

That movie was damn amazing. Christian Bale went on a single can of tuna and single apple a day diet and ran like hell. I thought he was going to keel over watching it, almost physically painful for me. My gf didn't get it but she isn't the brightest bulb on the christmas tree.

Surely others have noticed the very obvious nod to Trent Reznor in the name of the main character, Trevor Reznik.

Amazing film.

What Bale does to his body for his roles is amazing.

I can't think of a more dramatic feat of stunt acting for a movie ever. Sure Benicio del Turo gained around 60 for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but gaining is quite a different thing than losing that same amount.

I'd be willing to be Christian Bale knocked off a good few years off his life for this role.

Babagirls 08-16-2005 09:59 PM

last movie i rented was the Butterfly Effect, very fuckin good movie.
time to rent another one, i'll check that one out JDL :)

tristan_D 08-16-2005 11:15 PM

Look at that body, my god!

How old was he then?
I thought it's only his 3rd major film role.

JUSTB 08-17-2005 06:46 AM

He was down to 120 for the Machinist and up to 250 for Batman. Amazing.
