Do you use any script to track your hits / manage links

I'm seriously thinking in implementing a link tracking/redirection/management script on some of my stuff, the advantages are alot (except server load), anybody else uses such solution?

way way too limited and trouble-free plus it can't do most of the things i've mentioned (update links on fly, check the real amount of hits sent your sponsors and so on)

typical...I make a webmaster thread and it gets bumped to page2 in no time...

I just setup a simple filtering / testing script. I have about 5 main sponsors and 5 or so smaller ones. For each niche I added the appropriate links and they will rotate during the testing period. Sponsors/sites that do not convert the traffic will be removed. I can add new sponsor links into the system anytime and they'll be tested and then removed again if they don't convert.

Are there any existing script solutions to help filter and monetize traffic ?

Dude, If you want the output, you gotta accept the CPU cycles.

I've been thinking of buying ucj. It is well liked, and the data (I am told) is stored on flat (text) files, which allows you to tweek things with your own scripts real easy.

It's important to be able to profile your traffic by country, so geoIP is important. I don't think they have geoIP integrated into ucj yet.

Better is to track traffic from source to signup, so you can judge profitability and rank your list with that.

Care to share it/sell it, what language is it coded on? php

if so its basic php or does it have a frontend?

Brujah 08-16-2005 01:58 PM

it's php, no front-end, no mysql.

just something simple i'm using for now to rotate sponsors so i can get rid of poor converting links, which will automatically send more traffic to better converting ones

email me.. i'll send you an example to see what I mean
