Dating Sponsors - What is better REV or PPS?
 

I know at least 50% percent revshare is the way to go but lately I got caught up in the PPS model.

Who does better in the long run? Let's say one year - 365 days

1. A webmaster who does 5 sign-ups a day @ $25 per sign-up
2. A webmaster who does 5 sign-ups a day @ $15 per sign-up plus recurring at a 60% renewal rate.

I always make more with revshare, especially since some pay more then 50%

I say that Revshare is better, but I also promote Sexsearch which pays per signup.

well....we offer up to 70% payouts.... and our average members seem to be around 6-7 months....

So its a no brainer really.

The Key to our payouts are...most of our traffic comes from offline marketing so we just offer high payouts to keep the online side busy!!!!

Dating sites tend to rebill longer than regular porn sites. So I would strongly advise to go for the rev share option. In most case, you make the same as PPS after the 2nd month rebills.

It's important to look at what program is going to do the right thing for you. In the short-term I fully believe that pay per sign up is in the favor of the publisher. Before conversion or revenue are a factor the publisher is earning a paycheck at the cost of the sponsor.

In the long-run revshare wins for new and renewal revenue. As we know some programs convert better than others, but ultimately revshare should be the better way to earn income as you pass some of the risk over to the publisher and they rely on the program for conversion.

What do dating sponsors prefer in the long run a webmaster sending PPS or REV sharing?

I think you should do balance your traffic between revshare, per free and per sale. Revshare & PPS will help if your traffic source dies up and per free gets you instant money that you can use to grow.

Webmasters should slowly increase the amount sent to revshare so maybe after 8-12 months they have 90% or so of their traffic sent that way.

I am going through a transitional period from PPS to REV. My REV should be picking up in the next 3 months to catch up with my PPS. I wanna switch as many dating sponsors to REV.

to be honest...only a few people have asked for PPS... its just not really anything to look for from a gay based site.

And I know from all the media buys we do...I base my buys on my recurring rev from this site...not sure I will fly to a city setup an expensive booth for $35 per signup...would just go broke...but when you look 8 months in *hell even at 50%* its just worth my time to travel and promote the shit outta this

As a program you do what's right for the people who build your business. Each situation is different and depending on how well someone converts it may be more cost effective for me to get traffic one way vs the other but ultimately it's what the affiliate needs that determines what is right.

Adult Date Link pays 60% recurring. There are other programs that pay more but the bottom line, especially with RevShare, is how big your check is:)

Iwantu pays upto 70% revshare, Definately a good one to add to your mix I have members rebilling for over 3 years now :thumbsup

i would say $32 - $40 per signup check sig for sites

depends on the site i'd say. i've never been inside these dating sites but i'd imagine the ones that are full of fake profiles don't rebill very well.

rev share cause you get those 60-90-180 day sales :)

AFF pays up to 75% and, on my own personal sites, i choose revhsare over PPS, and PPC - theres a good reason for that. ;)

It probably varies per site. See sig for a dating program that pays both revshare and PPS.

I would say revshare is the way to go to make more money in the long run. As someone already mentioned members tend to stay longer in dating sites vs porn sites. LOVEDOLLARS pays 60% recurring. :pimp

I think it depends for each individual site, naturally.....but in the realm of dating, most sites rebill well.

Those that charge more though, like $35-40 per month, may rebill quite a bit less than those charging $19.95-29.95. However if you are working off a %, it comes to the same thing for you.

You can notice though, if a site is giving away 2 months revenue for their PPS, they most likely know their site rebills longer than 2 months. Those giving away just one month's fee (or less) as PPS might not be as confident (or they just need/want more of the share for themselves...) :2 cents:

I always advise my affiliates that pay per signup is great if you need the money now, but revshare always pays off better in the long run. With that said, I suggest that webmasters who are strictly pay per signup slowly diversy their payout in order to build retaining revshare members. AdultActionCam.com's average member retains for 4+ months, so revshare obviously pays off for our affiliates.
