Just watched Million Dollar Baby
 

So what the fuck was the "surprise" people were talking about? Everyone was raving about some radical turn in the plot. What am I missing here. Thought it went pretty smoothly myself...

I think the surprise was what happened in the end, I know I sure didn't expect it to turn out like that. Not a bad movie though.

Yea, went from intense to sad in a matter of minutes, than a real tear jerker from there.

It sure didn't end the way I thought it would. Good movie though. What I wouldn't give to have a body like Hillary Swanks. She looked great.

I can't give my opinion because I haven't see it yet but I heard it was a good movie :)

i thought it was a great movie as well. i don't think you were missing anything. you just probably didn't think the ending was a shock as many others did

The biggest twist was her injury...

It changed the entire direction of the movie..

and the ending was a bit unexpected.. to me anyway...

i liked it- one of the better movies i've seen lately

I know I am in the minority here but I thought the movie was kind of shitty and boring. Clint Eastwood looked like something out of Night of the Living Dead.

it was pretty bad, just when it started to get semi interesting it was over.

It's another movie like A Beautiful Mind, Monsters Ball type. Where the critics all like it but most people would rather see a nice pair of tits.

yeah the ending was a big turn around. it a heavy movie but will definitely leave a mark. since the day i watched it, i have never forgotten a single scene. i even used a line a saw in this movie as my status message in my IM's...

I loved the movie, it was heavy and I love that it didn't follow the atypical plot line of her healing/coming back/winning the gold/blah blah blah. Very sad ending, but it most certainly sets the movie apart from the mass of 'underdog' movies that there are out there.
