Yep yep yep. Take a looksy at when the prices started their rise. Invade Iraq to stabilise the middle east and look what we have on our hands now.

penzo 08-14-2005 07:20 PM

you are on $2.50 per gallon (approximatly 4 liters) and here in europe the price is around $1,4 - $1,6 per liter....which makes it $6 per gallon :(

1,715 US Soldiers Died since Bush declared "Mission Accomplished"

Some chilling numbers

The difference is yours are all in added taxes and tariffs. If the lawmakers had their way here, it would be the same.

One other difference is that your countries are the size of our states. We just plain drive more in the us because we have to.

Imagine what this is doing to some poor bastard farmer in North Dakota that has to drive 50 miles to get to the nearest grocery store.

dodger21 08-14-2005 07:36 PM

We're already at $3 a gallon in LA.

Dirty Dane 08-14-2005 07:39 PM

Its about $8 per gallon here. STFU! :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Are you from Denmark? Lets see that's about the size of Oregon. How many miles do you drive a year?

cambaby 08-14-2005 08:06 PM

Dumb asses

tony286 08-14-2005 08:27 PM

People say its crazy the prices but they support these people by buying suv's and hummers. We have to get off the black Heroin.

a serious article from the economist!!

Perils at the pump
Aug 12th 2005
From The Economist Global Agenda

Oil prices hit yet another record this week, on fears of political instability in the Middle East and refining problems in America. So far, the world economy has managed to chug along without much ill effect. But how long can consumers go on paying ever more at the pump without cutting back elsewhere? And why aren?t high prices bringing new supplies to market?
