type this into google link:site.com

or use that webrankinfo.com site

Google toolbar and their link command only show a small percentage of backlinks - and usually the worst ones - youre better off doing the link command on Yahoo to see a real good compilation of your backlinks

In Yahoo - using avn as an example - make sure you use the www and the links (plural)
links:www.avn.com
708,000 results
In Google - using same site - again using the www - but the singular command as they dont use the (s)
link:www.avn.com
939 results

Those yahoo ones arent backlinks..

try links:www.gfy.com then look at the first page listed.. no link..

Youre absolutely correct - my mistake - the correct command in Yahoo is link: also in Yahoo you have to use the http: in the url - ex. link:http://www.avn.com
