Just got back from seeing "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"
I could tell during the first few minutes that I was going to totally like it. I was a little apprehensive since my sister's review of it was "It kinda sucked".
I hadn't read it anywhere, but I just knew the music was going to be done by Danny Elfman :thumbsup If you havn't seen it but have been thinking about it, it is totally wicked, funny (hardly a minute went by without laughter from the audience), it's cute (but not in a lame way) and something the whole family can watch. The casting is great (even though I kept seeing Michael Jackson in Johnny Depp :1orglaugh). I definitely give it two thumbs up! :thumbsup :thumbsup |
Jonny depp = god

awesome movie...i totally dug everything about it..and the music was amazing
|
just saw a tv interview about it and seemed quite interesting. Tim Burton rocks :)
|
I must be the odd one out then as i thought it was majorly disappointing.
i prefer the Gene Wilder version any day |
Now you have to see it in IMAX.
That and Batman Begins both came out great in that format. |

Now an upcoming remake I will probably find totally disappointing is going to be the remake of Hairspray (actually, it's a movie based on the Broadway musical instead of an actual remake of the original film) because instead of choosing Harvey Fierstein or Bruce Vilanch who have excellently played the cross-dressing part of Edna Turnblad on Broadway they are going with John Travolta, WTF?! |
What a superb performance from a talented actor. I can't wait to doing sexy roles. ;)

Johnny Depp is a good actor. I took my son to see it and you know what..some parts are very lame. The whole elf character was way to much.
