The round part of the body was about 1.5 inches in diameter.. scared the fuck outta me - he moved a little and caught a little light.. one moment, nothing, next moment, this beasty was about 6 inches in front of my face!

I sprayed him with some bug killer.. he's twitching now.

I thought those little bastards were a joke, no way a small spider could do that. Well folks let me tell you, I moved to Texas a year a go and got bit by one last month (I have the nasty pictures.) Big hole in my leg and and nice scar. I hated spiders before but now they are on my hit list :mad:

Just did some reading on them. They sound non agressive. But, since they prefer seclusion and often in homes, accidently disturbing one can lead to a nasty bite.

They also bite when being crushed. So make sure you use something other than your bare hand or foot to stamp the lil vermon.

My roommate got bit about 4 years ago on his foot, it was so bad they tried talking him into amputation. Even to this day the scarring is horrific and there is still bad discoloration. Sorry bud, but you will see wht you see now in years to come but on a slightly smaller scale.

Hey man, I woulda done the same thing. Though often the news from an exterminator is worse. Aunt in Tennesse had the end report being something like tweleve black widows found in her place (she had two small children at the time - so it was some freaky news). :(

Yes, that is a very good reason for making your bed nice and tight, military style. They like to crawl into loose piles of bedding/clothing.
I never understood the importance of making a bed until I learned this.(besides just feeling better when crawling in)

I have a friend who is diabetic... got bit by a brown recluse and lost his foot as a result of the bite.

doesn't look all grown up, we have those all around here, pretty tame spiders, it's the black widows you have to worry about

Oh shit brown recluse's are some bad fuckers, I got bite by one years ago... Made a big hole big as quarter in my leg and was really deep. took months to heal up, they were getting ready 2 cut the sore out a graft skin, started to heal..

Brown Spiders seem to always pop up on my desk. They are fucking HUGE.

My gf would totally freak out...she always screams through the whole house when she sees a little spider and does not enter the room again before I removed it...
