Whenever I see the joinrightnow.com banner I just go ahead and refresh
 

I have a 3.0Mbps DSL line, but that one chokes GFY where the page never loads past it. There's a couple others almost as bad, but that one is consistent. Is there any reason for a swf banner to have more than a few seconds of mouseover audio? :helpme

i never even see the banners... even though they're there...

I thought I was the only one. It lags my computer as well.

I've never had a problem with it as I am on a 20mb per sec connection but somebody made a post like this the other day. Maybe they should make a new one.

yup, i do the same thing, im on cable.

theres a few banners that do that, JRN is just one of them.

So that's what it was..I knew GFY would cause my browser to lag but didn't wait around to see which banner did it

The only time I notice who is advertising on GFY is when someone skins the whole site, so I never pinned slow loading down to a particular banner. When GFY hangs, I tend to assume it's being DOS'd and just come back again later...

What you need is Adblock+Firefox and presto: problem fixed :)

Well, being that this is a business site that is a pretty bad approach.

Maybe forcing you to reload a page several times just to continue is a business model :upsidedow

Business verizon dsl, no problems.

not really...you will still get their non-flash versions, plus seeing the sigs and whatnot, its not like your missing alot :2 cents:
