Okay TGP Guys - questsion

I'm getting back into doing galleries. After sorting through all my content for 2257 I have decided that I have too much that I am not using as well as I should.

I am from back when it was more normal to hand submit and still think of submission software as something that is going to get me in trouble. Largely because I reviewed for JJJ for four years and hated the stuff that came from auto submitters.

Anyway, I need to decide if it is best for me to get one of these submitters and set it up or to try to make a list of about 50 tgps a day to had submit to. I am in two minds about this and go around with it in my head. Is the money spent monthly on a submitter better spent on some submit passes with places I can't get partnerships for free on?

Thanks for your help in helping to make my mind up.

Auto submitting should not be over looked, but partner accounts will yield a lot more, and be more work... I have a lifetime copy of RS that I let my people who submit for me use.

You can set your auto submitter to build the partner galleries and even open the forms and fill them for you.

.

darksoul 08-13-2005 06:46 AM

well, auto submitters are not that expensive, you can't buy a partner account with
what you pay for it.
However, the lists they have are mostly crap, you'll be better with making your own
list with a few but productive tgps.

Sarah_Jayne 08-13-2005 07:07 AM

I agree that they aren't that expensive (one sale, etc) but my question with a lot of them is being able to have them travel with me on my laptop when I need it...if that makes any sense.

aleck 08-13-2005 07:36 AM

there is no money in submitting galleries on your own, sorry.

Sarah...if you're going to want to build your own database...I'd recommend DreamSubmitter.

There's a bit more of a learning curve compared to something like Chameleon (which does rock) but you've been around...you can handle it.

Check it out. You can demo it for a month for like $3 or you can pay the fee and get access to their databases from the get go.

Definitely the one I'd go with.

get Advanced Submitter, it has a feature so it can submit automatically but basically its like doing it by hand, it just stores a database and fills the forms in for you, you just pretty much hit submit or fix the fields that it filled incorrect, as you use it more and more, you have it down packed and it takes less and less time everytime you submit

Dreamsubmitter is the one I keep going back to (though I wish they didn't have annoying music blaring over the person talking in their demo video) and thinking of buying. It can only be used on one system? It isn't a big deal but I would imagine so since it has to be set up. I just like the idea of being able to do my stuff both on my desktop and my laptop if I am not at home.

Well it certainly isn't the only thing I do but I did survive off it for four years but that was ages ago. I am just looking for a little extra cash and some more traffic to a couple of my sites.

I don't believe that it's tied to one machine, like Chameleon is. You should be able to load in on multiple machines and just access using your login/passcode.

The one thing I like about DS is that you can add all your galleries and once and schedule the auto submit parts. Also, creating a database is pretty easy (now...i built a few for an older version and it's gotten a bit simpler).

:thumbsup :thumbsup

As I said above, I reviewed for a number of the (at the time) very big tgps for over four years, helped with thumblords, etc and made a living off my galleries. There are a lot of big guys here today that I approved day after day for years. I have no doubt that things have changed but again, I am not looking to make my living off of this as I already do that elsewhere in the industry.

Spend the $3 and test it out for a month. You can build a nice 50 site database in a couple of hours.

Worth taking for a test drive. You'll probably pick up on it quickly. The tutorials are helpful. I always turn the sound off and just follow the on screen mouse :winkwink:

HI sarah talk to nfield he runs dreamsubmitter. You can have it on more then one pc you just cant use it at the same time. Like run it on both pc's at the same time.

Its a little bit to learn but once you learn you can fly on that damn thing lol then use a autosubmitter just make sure your not resubmitting to the same tgp's good luck
TOM

I love advanced submitter. Just build your own custom database with it and go off submitting. I submit to close to 175 sites in around 25-30 minutes per gallery. And only about of 30 of those are set to autosubmit.

yup, I have no problem not running it at the same time. I just want to be able to use it on multiple machines and not start all over again each time.

Sounds good.

lol I did that with the demo video..the sound distracted me. the $3 trial sounds like a plan. I am just used to being weary for trials ..part of the blinkers of this industry.

what he said.

apply for partner accounts regularly.
the more you get the merrier sales will be.

also investing in a few paid accounts is a good idea :2 cents:

I just downloaded the trial of Dream Submitter...now I know what I am doing with my Saturday night.

yup..that was fantastic, wasn't it? Yeah, I worked with Les and Lisa Marie. My nick back then was Sjayne. Always nice to meet part of the crew from back then :)

AmateurFlix 08-13-2005 12:24 PM

I've used Advanced Submitter, Chameleon, and most recently Dream Submitter. DS is as much of a step up from AS as AS is from manually submitting.
