I was suprised to see you correct on that. I thought we spent far less than that.

Canada's military spending is already very high by international comparisons. Military spending is estimated to be more than $12.3 billion for 2002-2003, making Canada the sixth highest military spender within NATO, and the sixteenth highest in the world.
