Meteor shower starting around Aug. 12
Unfortunately, for most of us who live in North America, the meteor shower will occur during daytime hours.
CNN Link Last year's shower was so sweet... |
just after midnight central time
I would love to see that one, and probably take some pics.
It's already starting here. Saw a few tonight.
Get those digimans ready guys! ;)
One step closer to that GFY t-shirt.
this would be an exciting one to watch.
Just spent an hour on my back watching the meteor shower.
Saw about 10 really good ones and probably about 20 short or faint ones. Had to stop because the damn mosquitos were eating me alive :( |
saw it it was fascinating.. anybody captured it?
Fortunately for Europeans, the best show starts at 11 p.m. They say we could expect 40 shooting stars per hour!
Planning a midnight picnic tonight! :thumbsup |
i would love to see that..
I hope the nightsky won't disappoint me tonight.
I remember a few years ago when there was a huge shower of Leonids...
My (now ex) b/f and I watched.. we had heard that animals react weirdly to large showers like that and sure enough you could hear cows mooing, horses, and roosters crowing in the middle of the night (like 2AM)... yah at the time we lived kind of out in the country... hope to see some tonight :thumbsup |
