Why in hell would they do that? That would make Dick Chaney president.. Who in hell would want that?

The military would be on shaky ground. Any arrest would have to evolve out of congress in the way of an impeachment. That would just kick him out of office. Then the Justice department under the Attorney General could issue an arrest warrant. That would be following Grand Jury proceedings. If he were still in office, there would be a constitutional question if anyone really had the power to arrest a president before impeachment?

Not an attorney or law professor, so the comments are what they are. Do you really want a military coup? Trust me, that would NOT be a good thing.

I was just reading that out of the $286 Billion Transportation Bill just signed into law, they allocated $3 Billion for new bicycle trails. $3 BILLLION! Come on what kind of bogus baloney is that. In Alaska they approved over $225 million to build a bridge for a small island that has only 50 people living on it. WTF????

If it were to happen, I dont think that it would stop with just a General getting busted. I think that it would explode. And the last thing that the US government wants is the military to take over, and arrest Bush. And the millitary would not need congress, as they would just abolish them.
