Actually when I was down there this particular time it was ass and penises. It was on Sunday morning/afternoonish.

The hotel was nowhere near lockdown since Saturday night, and by Sunday morning there were kids and families all over the pool and beach area.

that always happens though. i haven;t been to a show yet, (except vegas) that didn't have a wedding going on or some other family reunion where the outisders were horrified to find out that the porn people were there.

Wrong, yes. It sounds like it was the hotels fault though. I would have taken my kids inside and been pretty pissed at the hotel.

I agree, and we did point it out to several people from the hotel. Finally one of the security guys that spoke English figured it all out and they started to get a handle on it, but it went on for a couple of hours in this case, not sure about the others.

When I asked this I was told than some webmasters and business owners from out of the US brought Family along because they only vacation in the US before and after one of the big shows. I don't think this was any of them though, from what I understand there were activities for the kids to keep them occupied while the parents did biz.

My understanding was AVN only booked the hotel thru Sat night.. Sunday when the webmasters started to check out the families started to check in. Sunday night there was a couple 17 yr old girls in the hottub dying to have thier pics taken by the "porn people". Unfortunatly I think a couple of the webmasters there took them up on it before security came over.

People also should not be whipping their dicks out.

I am not 100% sure, but looks like AVN did not rent the Hotel for Sunday!
There were tons of families coming in on Sunday! You could tell, Saturday, you could not walk around without your badge. Sunday, if you noticed the hotel staff, went back to the normal work shirts, also.

I am kind of disapointed, I thought the higher prices were for us webmasters to have the hotel. I also noticed I still had free internet on Monday. Thought this was another reason for higher prices...

I only attended, because I was in the area, and will not attend again.

I walked down by the hot tub on sunday and some chick was at the shower and a few guys pulled her bottoms down and she posed for a few pictures.
I laughed but then noticed about three 7 year olds in the hot tub watching!

essentially we paid 300 bucks for those badges to keep the brats out.. why were they let in? The hotel is at fault, not flamboyant twinks or eager photographers.

The hotel told me that when the convention was over on Sunday, then the public was allowed in. I know that some sponsors were pissed because their events with free alcohol were scheduled when the public was allowed in.

Everything I read BEFORE the show said the show dates were 5th-7th. It only makes sense that with check in time around 3-4, the Westin was going to start letting others in at that time on the 7th. If we want to reserve it longer, we need to "rent" it longer.

Exactly, and since AVN has Parties listed on the list for Sunday Night, and they charged more to make it exclusive, I would of figured Sunday was included.

Even if the hotel HAD let the public in too soon, people should have a little more common sense and maturity than to say "you children aren't supposed to be here, so we can whip it out if we want to". SOME people in this industry really need to grow the fuck up.

It was a reasonable assumption that the hotel would remain industry only during the posted dates. I booked my room for the 5th-7th, the same dates listed for the show. AVN should have blocked all the show dates out. :2 cents:

Agreed. If there's kids about, whether its somebody's fault or not, people should at least have some decency to "straighten up", even just a little bit.

And you know, if AVN didn't book the hotel for that whole day, its actually our crew that was in the wrong and they should be happy nothing bad came of it.

Booking through the 7th does not mean midnight on the 7th. Whatever time check-in was is when "outsiders" would be allowed in.

Why is our society so hung up on sex? Why do we insist kids are walled off from sex? If kids see a naked person I don't think it will destroy their lives.

I think it's up to the parents to educate their kids about sex, and education requires honesty and some exposure.
