this one is pretty cool, has a rainbow in it from the rain, looks daylight out but this was taken at night same time as the others

You got that right! I just wish I had my camera on the 33rd floor during Internext on Saturday night! There was lightening far far away and you could see it coming through the thick clouds only it was in different colors each one! It was amazing! Had I been a little more courageous - I would have gone sit by the beach to admire its full effect!

Very nice pics man, I went to school last year and became a storm spotter aka storm chaser.. and every since I learned what I did THERE HASN'T BEEN SHIT for storms. :( I can not wait to we get a good storm lol Looks like I might get my wish if hurricane Irene hits close to Virginia. *shrugs*

I enjoy a good thunderstorm. The desert has some impressive storms towards the end of the summer- early fall.

I actually used stock settings from the canon d30 "easy shooting modes"
The first pic was taken in "action" mode with an ISO speed of 1600

The rest were taken in "landscape mode" with an ISO speed of 800

No Tripod as you can probably tell. Just messing around.
