Auto Bookmark, Homepage Changing Fuckers!

not sure what other shit happend but i know get some chinese writing in my top bar and in some other places

i know i shouldn't have clicked the link but i did now what do i do?

LOL this is kind of funny...a dialer guy complaining that someone auto-bookmarked him and changed his homepage.

Sucks kinda like those auto-install dialers eh?

What we do is legall if it becomes illigal i'll be the first

I agree with eros... there is some bitter sweet irony there.

but ... we are all seedy porn dudes (at least from mainstreamer's perspective)

some of you guys cross the line hammering people w/ exit consoles, autobookmarkers, and resetting the homepage (which is the most annoying)...

Talking about irony or double standards, i have seen
webmasters on this and other boards bash dialers and
resellers.
funny thing is some of them are using our dialer but
don't oppenly admit to it on boards like this.

to me, all this autobookmarking. home page jacking stuff is foreign....of course that's probably because I use Netscape ;)))
so no autobookmarking, no home page jacking, no email worms, etc.

I guess it's a fair trade off for sponsor stats areas that don't work with Netscape (hell some sponsors' consoles don't work with Netscape either), and style sheets that make pages look like hell in Netscape...

Most of these folks bag you by hiding the script in an SSI

Here ya go Hunter
1. Start regedit (Start > Run > Regedit.exe)
2. Go to the following section in your register: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run
3. Find the following string there and delete it: C:\windows\regedit.exe /s C:\windows\system32\radB42B9.tmp
radB42B9.tmp can be any file that shouldn't be there, it may also be located at any other directory. This section in your register HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run serves as Autostart group, so you may remove everything unnecessary from there. You may also try to find any other references in your register to the file you found in the section CurrentVersion\Run (eg. radB42B9.tmp) and delete them.
4. Change your default home page (Tools> Internet Options> Home page) to the one you desire and ENJOY!
5. If you don't want this to happen again, change your security options in Internet Explorer to promt whether to run or download any ActiveX controls and always answer NO if you are unsure.
