Ex-Playmate beats Playboy again
|
That is awesome... I guess we won't have to fight now when I use the Adult.com logo years from now. =)
|
Playboy has gotten out of hand - so has penthouse - have you seen the ads in AVN?
They want you to pay them to be able to describe a model on your page as a former penthouse pet. They can blow me or sue me. It is fair use. Geeze, maybe linux can start suing people for stating they host their sites on linux servers. |
I agree that she should be able to promote herself as a former Playboy Playmate.
For the most part, I think Playboy agrees. Playboy gets by with paying less by promising them the world...and letting them promote themselves thru the magazine. It's good for playboy too - the girls go out into the world...and tell every magazine, radio, and talk show that they were in playboy...guys run out and buy the magazine. What didn't make sense...was that the judge allowed the gal to continue to use the playboy trade name...but not the playboy trade mark. Victoria Zdrok had a diamond playboy pennant on her necklace in vegas...and some girls...get the playboy bunny tatooed on them. The judge couldn't possibly restrict Victoria from wearing a necklace (especially one that had been given as a gift) nor could he ask that a person remove a tattoo.... It's an interesting case...but a problem that Playboy brought on themselves... they want to have their cake and eat it too. Sorry Christie, it usually doesn't work that way |
I dunno if i'd wanna piss off mr heffner & his peoplez
|
I hope she won court costs too.
|
If I recall, ole Hef owes the success of his magazine to a certain Hollywood starlet and has no problem referring to her when he wants to show the world what a visionary he was...karma's a bitch

"Remember it was Playboy that made her famous..." Actually her star was irrevocably ascending and Hef managed to catch some of her pixie dust: "After appearing in small parts in films including LOVE HAPPY (1949) and ALL ABOUT EVE (1950), Monroe achieved celebrity with starring roles in three 1953 features?NIAGARA, GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES and HOW TO MARRY A MILLIONAIRE?as well as a series of nude calendar photos, taken in 1948, which appeared in the December 1953 debut issue of Playboy magazine. By the end of the year, Monroe had been voted the top star of 1953 by American film distributors." |
