Wow... tunnelling is certainly becoming a fashionable means of robbery/smuggling these days... last month it was drugs from Canada to the US, this week it's cash from a Brazil bank... I guess somebody should pick of a copy of Modern Outlaw and get hip to the trends!

They rented a house in front of the bank, opened a false grass selling company so no one would wonder from where all the dirty was coming from, dug a tunnel from the house to the bank and left with $65 million. All old, unmarked bills (approx. 3500kg of money).

I think the first ever bank robbery done that way was by a French guy in France. He enlisted a whole bunch of guys and they dug their way into the vault. They all got caught except for him, the mastermind. I think he turned up recently and died of old age some time last year. Pretty ingenius.

This heist sounds like it had inside help - cameras in the vault not working etc.
