Maybe ya missed a thread + Internext obviously took some attention - lets cut some slack here. I suspect this is an opportunity to win some cash from a great organization.

I spoke with him when I first signed up to the program, I love the program, have yet to make a conversion, but it hasn't been long I am sure it will come soon. Great promo tools, great payouts etc.

I have a certain pet peave... contests that are badly coordinated and this is rediculous. I emailed hazel several times, I tried to ICQ Dwreck and I even left posts in their contest threads... nobody says anything... there has been several days in the DAILY contest that the winner was not posted here.

I understand that the contest is in other boards as well, but the winner should be announced in all boards or on the sigcount page or something.

I have no doubts that the money will be there, but I am kinda torn with the fact they started this contest before going to internext. Either wait until after the event, or make sure someone on staff can tend to the sponsors pushing the sigs.I have done well with impressions and feel a bit sour when my emails go unanswered etc.

Besides... I like my sig.

If you like the sig and the program, why the negative comments. That doesn't help them or you or me for that matter. Suggest you pull the negative comments. If it were me, I'd tell ya to fuck off. You either support a sponsor or you don't. How many signs are you gonna get with those comments under the banner? Seems stupid to me.

The whole crew was down at Internext and I believe they are scheduled to come back today. They are all good people and among the nicest I've met in this biz. I have no doubt you and anyone else owed will be paid asap.

But to throw dirt on them in your sig AND start a thread about is a bit much, no?

I ain't pullin shit until they address the issue. Fuck that shit. I don't agree with the activity. Aside from that, there really isn't anything negative in there. The "not paid???" is a question, not a statement. and the "never was announced" never was announced. So that is not negative. If they wanna disqualify me, so be it... at least you will all know how the shit went down.

This calls for a few observations.

1) Spread4U has been around awhile and they have guidelines on how to interact with surfers. I have never seen a model sleeping, eating or reading on cam as I have seen in other programs.

2) I have spent time in chat rooms and found the models polite and acting correctly even though there were assholes and insulting comments made at them.

3) Spread4U now with the new name has NEVER missed a check even though I'm not the biggest affiliate by far. Even sent a $32 check for one month. A check got lost in the mail. Guess what, they replaced it. Calls or emails have always been returned. Can't say that about all my sponsors.

4) I have referred a model to them and from what I hear, Spread4u won out when compared to other programs from the model's perspective.

Conclusion is that Spread4u has a better model base.

Getting webcam conversions can be an effort. There is a ton of competition that is for sure. What you will find is that once a relationship is struck with a model, a surfer will return time and time again. Having the thumb links on your page brings surfers back too! Sometimes they will visit several times before they pull out that credit card. Spread4u shows well because of the model base is good. Even though they may be smaller than other programs, they can be good for your site.

Like I said, I like them as well. And this isn't about the money, I do believe I will recieve payment. Just to make this clear, this is about the DAILY contest being 5 days and only 2 winners announced. This is about when being faced with the issues the comments go completely ignored.. I started off great, then I got harsh (thinking that might get their attention) then I even apologized. Nothing. So I changed my sig up a bit... no response. I decided to make a thread so they can see it.

So...

If you read above, they should not have started a public contest if they didn't have time to stick with it.

I think it is bullshit to hold a contest and get people excited and PROMOTE YOUR SHIT... and then ignore it.

I mean if you say you are going to do something, then do it and don't ignore issues regarding it... several ICQ's POSTS and EMAILS went ignored BEFORE any of this. That my friend is "bad taste" and I still do not see anything offensive in my sig. And I will be changing "Aug. 8th - To be announced" to "Aug. 8th - Never was announced" if there is no response by midnight.

I do not see where I am wrong... all I want is some explanations as to why they think it is ok to conduct a contest as such. It is SUPPOSED to be fun, but we are advertising the shit out of them and we don't even get rewarded with the DAILY results which is what the anticipation build up is for.

Not to mention all the failed attempts of contact whether for payment or for answers.

You don't get yours asap and, like anyone would do, inquire. When you don't hear back in good enough time you then started acting like a whining ten year-old.

You keep their banner in your sig but also slag them with the non-payment text below it. You post in a "webcam sponsor" thread and note that even though they haven't paid you, you still like them.

You then start a thread crying about the whole thing and making yourself look like an ass. All over, what, a $100?

I am sure there are webmasters who have never been to internext and never plan to go. Hell, many of them might not even know it's internext time. To them, it's business as usual.

So... when a sponsor takes a couple days "off", it may appear as bullshitting. But he's right, why would you have a daily contest & not be around to announce the winners until it's over?

wow lol ... imagine if creditcard companies and others got on you the day after. i gotta stick up for a solid crew, everyone was at Internext, give them a break. 5 days of intensive activity to come back to the office is tough for everyone.

This is understandable as I have said above. They are taking care of the situation, they are a great crew... this was about running a promo during "intense activity" which IMO should not have happened... at least without backup. I told Dwreck I would refrain from posting, so this is my last.

I said in my icq that I am aware of your concern and that I am playing catch up and I will get to your thread. Well i have been I got home at 12 am and I stared replying to emails at 8 am and I finllay got to yoru thread. Sorry for the delay.

I will take full and 100% fault for not annocung winners at the start of the contest for that was an slight oversight on my part that posting and annocing winners during days of travel and while at the biggest trade show of the year. I thought it could be done.

Now that im back at home and settled in all the daily winners will be annouced in timely fashion now that im back in full force. The CEO and COO are still away on biz and when they get back we will think of some kinda of compesation for the days missed.

Again, with my very busy scehdule during Internext i admit i missed a few days and for that I accept complete resposibilty. Next time I wont run a contest during a trade show. Lesson learnt.

ALl monies will be sent out at the end of the month.
