I kinda have a diffrent meaning of mainstream myself.. Its kinda easy to use Music as an example.. Mainstream dosent mean what you are in like say Rap (Adult) or Rock (non).. But it is which has the largest slice of the public(traffic).. So Either one could be mainstream...

Thats how I look at it though....
